Services

A Life of My Own supports neurodivergent young adults with gaining confidence and skills to navigate their lives interdependently, and families who would like to empower their neurodivergent young adults towards those goals.

Coaching

At A Life of My Own (ALOMO) we offer one-on-one meetings* for all our clients.  This allows us to create a personalized plan for each person we meet with. We offer these meetings over video, phone, or in-person -- whichever is more comfortable and productive for both the client and coach to make the best of their time together. The direction of each coaching session is always client-driven, meaning we don’t make goals for you, and instead help you to develop your own goals and figure out the steps to reach them.

Areas that our coaches specialize in include:

  • Career exploration, supported job searching, application process and interview support

  • Transitions support (high school to college, college to the workplace, career transitions, etc.)

  • Executive Functioning coaching using evidence-based practices

  • Finding Accommodations (educational and workplace) - assessing needs, advocacy, communication with third parties regarding accommodation needs

  • Aiding with college searching and college application process

  • Parent support and family meetings

  • Independent living skills (living on your own, cooking, cleaning, managing finances, etc.)

*In-person coaching is offered for clients in King and Snohomish County, WA. Online coaching is offered nationwide (USA).

Family Consults

At ALOMO we believe in interdependence with our loved ones and support systems. All humans need support from their fellow humans!

We offer support for current or prospective clients, including people who have some questions about what’s going on with their neurodivergent (ADHD, autistic, etc.) family member, and how their family can best support them.

These consults can cover subjects such as:

  • Learning more about a specific topic related to a loved one’s neurodivergence

  • Getting support with building a support team for your neurodivergent family member (formal diagnosis not necessary, please contact us if you have questions!)

  • Strategizing how to move forward as one support team

  • Updating the ALOMO team about the client’s most recent barriers, asking for advice on how to work better with your loved one
