What We Do

A Life of My Own was created in response to a widespread community need. Neurodivergent young adults are people first and have the same needs as any other student or young adult. Their different ways of being typically requires different ways of finding their solutions and different ways of supporting.

Whether in high school, vocational school, college / university, living at home, out working, or in your own place (or none of these!) there can be many challenges as one looks toward becoming in(ter)dependent.

Achieving self-reliance can be a bit scary, but also highly rewarding. Doing it on your own can feel a bit like jumping off a cliff. Increasing independence with parental assist can feel much like falling back into old routines- instead of opening a new chapter.

Life coaching can offer support with a scaffolded approach;

a bridge to developing “A Life of My Own”

Where We Work

A Life of My Own successfully serves clients throughout the US (primarily in the Western states) thanks to videoconferencing, which is the vast majority of our meetings.

In addition, we are pleased to once again, offer safe in-person meetings in the Seattle / Bellevue Washington area!
